As mentioned above, Middletown is home to Wesleyan University.  Visitors can walk through campus but schedule a campus tour here if you are interested in a prospective student tour.  Explore the town by walking down Main Street or along the banks of the Connecticut River in Harbor Park.  Have the kids?  Check out Kidcity Children’s Museum, a local-favorite spot to entertain the young.  Hike and bike at Wadsworth Falls State Park and see the waterfall.  Here in the winter?  Hit the slopes at Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort.

Middletown has a great food scene for visitors.  Fuel up on breakfast at Ford News Diner and grab a coffee and a game at Back Again Board Game Cafe.  For lunch, try Taino Smokehouse for their brisket and mac n cheese, Haveli India for their lunch buffet, or Celtic Cavern for their tavern food.  There are many options for pizza in town.  Locals love Mondo for your classic pizza experience and Krust Pizza & Bourbon Bar for a nice night out!  Here for beer?  Head to Stubborn Beauty Brewing Company, Forest City Brewing, or try beers from several breweries at Eli Cannons Tap Room (be sure to sit on their patio!).  More of a wine person?  Head to Arrigoni Winery and Cider Co. to try some local wines.   For dinner, try one of two Italian places.  Cantina Cafe Ristorante serves beloved Italian dishes or try Luce Restaurant for more upscale options.

Need a place to stay during your visit?  Book a room at the Inn at Middletown or Passport Inn & Suites Middletown.  Need a whole rental for yourself?  Consider booking a Vrbo.  Here are some of our favorites: Cozy Attic Apartment for 3, Modern Home for 6, and Country Loft for 2
