Welcome to Martin, Tennessee!  Martin is located in the state's northwest region and has about 10,000 residents.  Martin is a small college town home to the University of Tennessee at Martin.  Martin has a cute Main Street with many local businesses visitors can shop at.  Try southern favorites or unique dishes at many restaurants around town or stop by for the Tennessee Soybean Festival!  Martin is located near Nashville, Tennessee (2hr 30min, 150 miles), Memphis, Tennessee (2hr 15min, 135 miles), and St. Louis, Missouri (3hr 30min, 205 miles).  Come explore this quiet college town!

Martin is home to the University of Tennessee at Martin, which has about 7,000 students.  Interested in touring the university?  Find information about prospective student tours here.  Martin has lots of shops downtown to do some retail therapy.  But a new outfit at Sugar and Spice, Vincent Outfitters, or The Shoe Shack.  For a relaxing stay, try a pottery class at Teddy Kat Pottery, or get a massage at Relaxing Effects Day Spa.  Get some fresh air and explore Big Cypress Tree State Park.  Enjoy their hiking trails and boardwalks.  Be sure to check Festival Park to see if they have any outdoor concerts or movie nights during your visit.

Martin has great food options to load up on.  Start with coffee from Martin Coffee Roasters.  Grab lunch at The Hearth Restaurant for classic southern cooking, or drive into KN Root Beer of Martin for a drive-in food experience and root beer in a frosty mug.  On the lighter side, get your healthy cravings satisfied at Crave Restaurant, or grab a sub at Sammies.  For dinner, head to Blake’s at Southern Milling to try their barbecue or the intriguing smoked cream cheese.  Another great option is a burger and a shake from The Grind.  Be sure to try out the chocolate freak shake and the Luther burger which, spoiler alert, has a donut bun!  End the day on a sweet note and cool off with a snow cone from Blue Swing Shaved Ice
