Meredith is in central New Hampshire in the heart of the Lakes Region. Meredith is located near several cities including Boston, MA (1hr 50min, 107 miles), Portland, ME (2hr, 83 miles), and Montreal, QC (3hr 45min, 362km). The closest major airport is the Portsmouth International Airport.
As mentioned, Meredith is a top destination in the summer due to its proximity to Lake Waukewan and Lake Winnipesaukee. Visitors can rent boats at the Meredith Marina and Boat Center for their trip. The Lakes Region is home to more than just water. Being in the Appalachian Mountains, Meredith is near lots of great hiking. Some local favorite hiking include West Rattlesnake Mountain, the great views at Mt. Major, and climbing up the fire tower at Red Hill Fire Tower Trailhead. Here in the winter?
